When and where is Soonercon?
Soonercon 32 is June 21-23, 2024 at the Embassy Suites Norman Hotel and Conference Center.
Are you offering single-day passes?
We are not selling single-day memberships. However, the price will go down as the weekend goes on. Saturday will be $59 (and includes Sunday) and Sunday will be $20.
How much are children’s memberships?
Children 12 and under are free with paid adult membership. Children must remain in the company of their paid guardian at all times. No limit on the number of children per guardian. Note: Children will not receive the additional perks of paid memberships (e.g. badge, lanyard, etc.).
Is there a veterans and military discount?
Active duty military personnel and veterans receive a 35% discount to memberships at the door. Must show valid ID at convention registration to take advantage of this perk.
What are the benefits of buying online?
Buying online saves you $10 over at-the-door membership pricing before June 21. You skip the purchase line, just walk up to pre-registration and pick up your badge. You can also pick up your badge early Thursday evening 6-8 pm before the con.
Can I buy my membership at the door?
Yes, you can buy your membership at the door. However, if you’re planning to attend the full weekend, Friday-Sunday, you will save $10 buying online. At-door pricing will be $79 Friday, $59 Saturday (and include Sunday), and $20 on Sunday.
What is a membership?
A Soonercon membership is your weekend pass to activities hosted during the convention. This includes panels, demos, performances, contests, shopping, kid’s activities, meet and greets, gaming, cosplay, and much more. Note: some hands-on or specialty workshops may require additional entry fees.
When/where do I get my membership badge and perks?
All Membership badges and perks are to be picked up at the Soonercon 32 convention Registration, June 21-23 at the Embassy Suites Hilton Norman Hotel and Conference Center. Buy online for early badge pickup June 29 6-8pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel Norman.
How are my membership dollars used?
Soonercon is an entirely volunteer managed and run event and is the annual fundraiser for the 501(c)3 nonprofit Future Society of Central Oklahoma. Every dollar raised goes toward FSCOK’s mission of promoting arts, literature, and the sciences through the lens of pop culture, including putting on Soonercon each year.
Can I get a refund on my membership?
We do not offer refunds on memberships. We will not hold memberships for the next year.
What are workshops?
Workshops at Soonercon are hands-on, interactive, and demonstrative courses with actionable takeaways. Learn a new skill, create a masterpiece, or get tips and tricks to grow your hobby. We bring in the experts to share their craft!
Due to limited space and material costs, workshops may have a nominal registration fee. You must register for workshops on Growtix before the workshop start time and pick up your ticket at Soonercon Registration.
A Soonercon membership is required to attend any workshop.
